Well, here are a some songs and pictures to check out. The Wild Hickory Nuts [PIC] tunes are from our "Back Together for the Last Time" concert in LA, 12-30-89 and a McCabes concert on 9-13-75. The Town and Country Boys [PIC] and Corn Bred [PIC] tunes are from the early 70's at McCabes. Al Mundy sat in for John Hickman for one concert which let Tom Sauber loose on the fiddle!
At Northwestern I had a folk group cleverly named The New Brushwood Singers [PIC]... not the old but the new! We would have fit right in A Mighty Wind [LINK], but I didn't get the call! I played banjo, but not the long neck Pete Seegar model; My bluegrass interest just wouldn't let me take that leap! The last tune is from a recording I made with my HS friend, Bill Lemke. We sat down and did 30 minutes of gospel tunes and Reverand Guy Gabardine routines. I had Dennis Fetchet dub a tag on this one some "35 year" later.
